Miyama FUTON&Breakfast / Hotaruan
We offer "Futon to Asagohan", a Japanese version of "B&B" (Bed & Breakfast), which is a mainstream accommodation style in Europe. Breakfast is served with local specialties of Miyama. Our staff will cook and serve breakfast on the premises from 8:00 a.m. (change of time is available upon request).

We will prepare breakfast foods for you free of charge. We have an assortment of food from the Miyama. Please feel free to cook and enjoy them in the kitchen of our facility. Please use the system kitchen for cooking.

The old private house is fully equipped with a kitchen, so you can cook your own dinner. We also offer Miyama ingredients procurement and catering services.
Please note: Regarding cancellation fees. If you need to cancel, there will be a cancellation fee. If you cancel three days before, the fee will be 30% of the total price. If you cancel one day before, the fee will be 50%. If you cancel on the same day, the fee will be 100%.
Ingredient procurement service
If you wish to cook your own meals using ingredients unique to Miyama, we will prepare the following ingredients for you. Requests can be made up to 3 days prior to your stay. This is recommended for those who would like to spend time as if they were living in Miyama. The facilities are fully equipped with a kitchen and cooking utensils, so please feel free to use them. Our staff will explain about the kitchen when you arrive. If you have any questions about how to cook, please feel free to ask.

This set is enough chicken for 2~3 portions with various local vegetables and is 4400 Yen.
The set consists of the raw ingredients which you can cook for yourself using our fully equipped kitchen.

Serves 2~3 people with 500 grams of free range meat and local vegetables. 4400 Yen.

Miyama wild boar nabe set 1 set 9500 yen
※If Miyama wild boar meat is hard to obtain, domestic wild boar meat will be prepared.
500 grams of wild boar meat (caught in the local mountains) and local vegetables. Serves 2~3 people 9500 Yen. The set consists of the raw ingredients which you can cook for yourself using our fully equipped kitchen. You may want to bring sauce and other food to supplement this set and you are welcome to do so (we sell sauce for nab and grilled meat).
Miyama deer meat (venison) barbecue set 1 set 6600 yen
Serves 2~3 people with 400 grams of locally caught deer meat (6600 Yen).
The set consists of the raw ingredients which you can cook for yourself using our fully equipped kitchen. You may want to bring sauce and other food to supplement this set and you are welcome to do so (we sell sauce for nab and grilled meat)
Ordering Ingredient Sets
We will order a set of ingredients from Miyama Nature and Culture Village and prepare them in the refrigerator at the facility.
The meal set comes pre-cut, so it is easy to cook right after your arrival, and you don't have to worry about buying dinner before you arrive!
Seasonings, vegetables, meat and fish will be provided in one package. Requests can be made up to 5 days prior to your stay.

A professional chef will show off his skills in the accommodation's kitchen. Enjoy a relaxing meal with your family and friends. This is also a great option for special celebrations such as 60th birthdays and retirements.

Sukiyaki
11,000 yen per person
We will prepare beef sukiyaki for your dinner as an on-site service. (The restaurant staff will set up the sukiyaki, but after that it will be self-service.) In addition to the sukiyaki, the meal includes a small bowl of cooked food, rice, and fruit. Sukiyaki is a one-pot dish with little broth, so it needs to be kept from boiling over and is not suitable for cooking on the hearth. Please set up and cook it on the cassette stove provided at the facility.

Irori nabe(Hot pot cooked in a hearth)
6,900 yen per person
Yose-nabe (Hot pot) will be prepared in the sunken hearth in the facility by the catering service. (The restaurant staff will set up the Yose-nabe (Hot pot), but after that it will be self-service.) You can enjoy yose-nabe around the sunken hearth. The meal includes the sunken hearth nabe, a small bowl of cooked food, rice, and fruit. You can change to "Kamo-nabe (duck hot pot)" for 3000 yen per person, or "Botan-nabe (wild boar hot pot)" for 4000 yen per person. Accommodations with sunken hearths are available at "Miyama Futon & Breakfast", "Mitoya", and "Hotaruan".

A chef will come to your home to serve you dinner. You can enjoy a kaiseki meal around the hearth. Enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine prepared by a professional chef. Please use this for business use or as a meal for celebrations such as longevity celebrations and wedding anniversaries.

We will make use of seasonal ingredients and materials, and create a menu that meets the age and needs of our customers by using cooking techniques that do not impair the flavor of the ingredients themselves. This is available for parties of 5 or more. *For reservations of 2 to 4 people, we will provide this meal for an additional [product price + option fee]. Only Miyama FUTON & Breakfast , Mitoya, and Hotaruan are available.
Sushi Stand

A sushi stand will be set up for guests with sushi handcrafted by a sushi chef on hand. Made with various fish unique to the sea of Japan. A Miyama-based chef with experience cooking in Kyoto's top restaurants will make sushi just for you in this luxurious on-site cooking service. We offer approximately 7 types of seasonal ingredients. We are unable to accept requests for ingredients.
*The sushi will feature seasonal fish. Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies. *Please note that the meal will be served at 7pm. *A side dish and miso soup are also included in the course. *Please note that an extra charge will be required for drinks.

Auberge Nakazawa offers French cuisine also using local ingredients and is a 10 minute drive from your cottage.
The owner is a chef who was awarded the title of "Contemporary Master Craftsman" by Kyoto Prefecture in 2008.
Drinks are not included in the price and should be paid for directly at the restaurant. Booking is required in advance, also please be sure to let us know if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies.
If your stay happens to fall on the day off of either restaurant we will arrange an alternative plan for your dinner.
